In 2023, Janna Avner was named the Eric and Barbara Dobkin Fellow at the School for Advanced Research (SAR) in Santa Fe. She joined the Indian Arts Research Center's Native Artist Fellowship program as its first practicing light artist, developing work at the intersection of painting, projection, and dichroic film.
