Yaritza Flores Bustos is an interdisciplinary artist and community organizer based in Maryvale, Phoenix, Arizona. Born in Michoacán, México and raised in the U.S., her practice is grounded in migrant knowledge systems, cultural memory, and collective care — approaching making as a communal act that centers storytelling, material intimacy, and the everyday resilience of working-class immigrant life.

Working across ceramics, installation, and site-specific intervention, Flores Bustos roots her work in the landscapes and communities of Maryvale. She has presented solo exhibitions including Se Amerita, Palabra (2023) and Hasta Mañana (2020), and has shown at Phoenix Art Museum, Tempe Center for the Arts, and the University of Michigan. In 2023, she participated in the Lehmann Emerging Artists program at Phoenix Art Museum.

Flores Bustos is co-founder of LABOR, a community-centered initiative developed with the Phoenix Office of Arts and Culture, and works as a teaching artist with Cala Alliance, Aliento, and Fuerte AZ — facilitating workshops that weave art-making with healing, cultural expression, and political education. She holds a BFA in Ceramics and Transborder Studies from Arizona State University's Barrett Honors College.
